The Body Control Module (BCM) manages central locking, lighting, windows, immobiliser communication and dozens of other vehicle functions. When the BCM's EEPROM memory chip is corrupted — often caused by a flat battery, incorrect module programming or a battery removal — the vehicle can lose immobiliser authorisation, key recognition, or basic function. Some vehicles — particularly BMW post-2015 and certain Mercedes platforms — encrypt their immobiliser data in a way that prevents OBD-level key programming. The key data has to be read from the CAS, FEM or BDC module directly, decrypted, and the new key written back. ACDP connects at the module level to handle this without removing the module from the vehicle.

When needed: all-keys-lost on BMW CAS4/FEM/BDC, Mercedes EIS with anti-scan lockout, or any platform where OBD programming has been blocked.

JLR SDD Diagnostics and Configuration

JLR SDD is the genuine Jaguar Land Rover diagnostic platform — the same software used by franchised JLR dealers. It is required for module configuration, variant coding, Bluetooth and key learning on Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles where third-party tools lack the platform-specific commands. Immobiliser Bypass and Fault Recovery

Steering Lock Module Repair (ELV/ESL)

Mercedes-Benz W204 C-Class, W212 E-Class and some W164 ML-Class vehicles use an Electronic Steering Lock (ESL) module that fails in a locked position — preventing ignition and steering function. Ben can repair or emulate the ESL module on-site, bypassing the failure without a full steering column replacement.

When needed: Mercedes steering lock fault, ELV warning light, steering wheel locked solid despite battery connected, ignition will not turn.
